Strongly aromatic and slightly spicy, naturally sun dried whole black peppercorns with a convenient cap grinder, preserving freshness and flavor. Originally native to the monsoon forests of southwestern India’s Malabar coast, black pepper is also cultivated in other tropical countries. Austrian family company Kotányi traces its history to 1881, when Janos Kotányi began operating his first paprika mill in his hometown of Szeged, Hungary (then a part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire).
