Black Sweet Waxy Corn

Origine: Jilin

A ready to eat cob of waxy corn, like regular corn to look at but strikingly dark and – native to China – more glutinous (containing more amylopectin), making it more digestible than regular corn. Less sweet than sweet corn and often used to help thicken foods, waxy corn has a unique, more pronounced corn taste and distinctively gummy texture. Ready to eat, also shave kernels into salads, grill on the barbecue, steam or boil, or simply heat in the microwave. Corn is a good source of carbohydrates and fiber as well as a range of vitamins and minerals. Corn also contains lutein and zeaxanthin, 2 phytochemicals that support healthy vision, and its insoluble fiber feeds the good bacteria in your gut, aiding digestion. Non GMO with no added sugar.
