Also known as purple stripe garlic, Chesnok Red gets its name from the purple striping running along it’s relatively long, easy to peel cloves. The variety is prized for its full but mild flavor that sweetens when roasted– which is perhaps the best way to use it. A part of the lily family (along with onions and leeks) garlic is key to Mediterranean and Asian cuisine. A single bulb contains several individual cloves, which are a good source of vitamins and minerals. Garlic has been used as a remedy for centuries. Founded in 2002, Goodfarmer is a Shanghai based importer and exporter of fruits and vegetables.
